Yes, you can use Kontist to pay salaries and settle supplier invoices like with any other business account. You can set up transfers manually or automate them through connected accounting software. Kontist is ideal for handling regular outgoing payments as your business grows.

Kontist supports outgoing international payments via SEPA transfers within the EU and EEA. For global transfers outside SEPA, we recommend using external services like Wise. Incoming international payments are possible as long as the sender uses your IBAN and BIC

If your legal structure changes — for example, switching from a GbR to a UG or GmbH, or updating shareholder information — you’ll need to provide updated documentation. Our support team will guide you through the process to ensure compliance with banking regulations.

Kontist does not file taxes on your behalf. However, it simplifies tax prep by providing real-time tax estimates, categorized transactions, and export options compatible with tax advisors and accounting tools like lexoffice or sevDesk.

With Kontist, you can borrow between €500 and €50,000 and choose a repayment period between 4 and 18 months. Repayments are made weekly, and interest rates range from 9% to 35% per year. You can also repay earlier without extra fees. You can learn more about our loans here.

Kontist is primarily a digital business account, so it doesn’t support direct cash deposits.

However, if you have a customer-facing business and want to provide a physical point of sale, you can use the solution provided by our partner SumUp to enable digital payments directly to your Kontist account.
